In ancient Han China, a young enslaved girl named Ping discovers one of the last dragon eggs and forms a bond with the ancient dragon Long Danzi. With dragons banned from the kingdom, Ping must flee from palace guards and return the egg to the ocean to save the dragons from extinction. Along the way, she learns that she is the true Dragonkeeper.
